Entertainer

Do you remember the hygiene promotion sessions? I have the chance to attend another one. This time, all children are outside the school, singing, dancing, mimicking hygiene related moves. Everybody seem to enjoy themselves. Especially as a muzungu is...

Working Woman

I take some time to sit and talk to a woman working on the road. She explains what motivates her working here. The obvious benefit is that she'll be able to pay the school fees for her children. She also plans to buy some basic items she needs.

We are Family

Everybody sees me with my camera, and everyone wants me to take their photo. I then show them the result, and this is when one should take a photo! Everyone jumps all over the place to see the photo.

Smiling Boys

Here are two malnourished children I encountered in another nutrition centre. They followed me the whole time, holding my hand, looking at my veins, smiling and laughing. Just another week or so in this nutrition centre, and they'll be okay.
