Rita's birthday

Do we drink too much in Goma? I have the impression we see things in double those days... After the double wedding few weeks ago, let me talk here about a double birthday celebration.

Rita turned 29 last week. It was also Basem's birthday a few days ago. So we decided to celebrate both events at our place. Not a wild party, but a nice dinner at home, with some usual suspects around. Rita missed her plane the previous day and arrived pretty late at Goma. Luckily, Eva felt like cooking. And as always, a fabulous dinner awaiting us. Still, Rita prepared the two starters with sea food. Then the main dish that Eva cooked: Osso Bucco and stuffed cabbage. Delicious...

But that's not the end of it. Have we ever told you about Eva's speciality? Cakes anyone? I knew central europeans were found of cakes but didn't know they could cook so well. Both Basem and Rita had their own cake. With loads of candles all around.

Time for Champagne then. Jeremie loves bubbles all around when opening a bottle, and this time was no exception... All cheers.
